Notes about Silverwood Schedule

Notes to accompany the Silverwood Schedule:
We are trying a new schedule this year. More concurrent events so the flow is less hectic. The overall goal is to provide attendees more time to view dogs, learn and TALK TO EACH OTHER.

Thursday has a packed schedule, designed for folks who are geared up and ready to go! Lots of conformation, not to mention the plans afoot for the Isis Vabo extravaganza and Welcome party following!

Friday the emphasis is community, communication and education. Our very own Mary Remer is presenting the opportunity for us to have dialogue about our favorite subject, Bull Terriers of course!  We will give more details on this in the future, but think audience participation, comfortable and safe atmosphere, and answers to challenges you have encountered that are yet unanswered.  The Performance committee will be hosting a seminar presented by Dr. Shannon Flegel, on conditioning our Bull Terriers (the time is yet to be confirmed). All are welcome. There is always the annual Judges Education seminar, which really should be called the Breed seminar.  Even if you never aspire to judge our breed, if you are a BT lover and have never attended previously, there is so much you can learn and you are most WELCOME to attend. The Performance events start early and last all day, they are planning full trials for obedience, rally and fetch.  Temperament and CGC’s, Trick Dog and Scentwork – Wow they are a stalwart bunch! Yes, events are concurrent.  As our community interests keep ever expanding, unless we add more days to the weekend, our 2-day time constraint allows no other sane path.  One last plug – our annual general membership meeting.  This is the one time every year that we get so many members in one place at the same time.  PLEASE plan on attending.

Note:  that the Performance schedule is coming, they are diligently working away on it, and their seminar time is subject to change. The entire schedule is still a work in progress, as the BOD and committees approve and solidify plans, things may change, but this schedule gives us all something to work and plan from. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
