Each year the BTCA sponsors and presents seminars at Silverwood to educate our breeders and owners. The club looks to share information about many possible issues. Below are just a few reasons these seminars are sponsored by our club.

Breed-Specific Education: Every dog breed faces unique genetic risks. Seminars break down complex veterinary research and genetics into practical advice for everyday owners and breeders

Improving Breeding Practices: Clubs use seminars to teach breeders how to interpret standardized health screenings (like DNA panels, eye certifications, and orthopedic evaluations) to make safer breeding matches and reduce inherited diseases.

Sharing New Research: Veterinary medicine and genetic testing evolve rapidly. Seminars provide a direct pipeline for veterinarians and researchers to update club members on new diagnostic tools, health surveys, and treatment protocols.

Promoting Overall Welfare: Beyond breeding, these educational events cover general canine wellness, first-aid, nutrition, and longevity, helping pet owners give their dogs a higher quality of life

Just to mention a few reasons….
